Customer Background
The client is from a medium-sized football stadium that hosts nighttime events and training sessions.
The stadium is located in a subtropical region, with humid summers and frequent heavy rainfall during monsoon season. Before the upgrade, the facility used four 2000 W metal-halide floodlights per mast, consuming over 1.8 MW during an evening match. The management faced high energy bills, frequent lamp failures due to humidity and corrosion, and growing demands from broadcasters for higher-quality lighting. In addition, local regulations limited light spillover to nearby residential areas after 11 pm — making precise beam control and glare reduction a must.

Our Solution
To address the stadium’s demand for higher brightness, lower energy consumption, and more stable performance during humid seasons, Ceramiclite deployed a customized lighting upgrade based on the SL05 LED Stadium Light series.
A total of 200W–600W SL05 fixtures were installed across the existing high-mast structures. The 600W units deliver up to 102,000 lumens per fixture, replacing traditional metal-halide lamps that previously consumed more than double the power while providing inconsistent color stability.

Installation & Commissioning Details
The replacement involved 32 floodlight masts around the pitch, each upgraded with 4 × 600 W SL05 LED Stadium Light fixtures, totalling 153.6 kW installed capacity (vs ~256 kW previously).
After commissioning, we measured the following average values during a test night, as shown in the graph on the left. These data demonstrate not only energy savings, but also improved illumination quality and lowered operational costs.
Outcome & Benefits
(1). Superior brightness & uniformity: Post-installation measurements showed a clear improvement in horizontal and vertical illuminance across the pitch. The SL05’s precision optics delivered even light distribution with significantly fewer shadow zones, allowing athletes to track fast-moving balls more accurately and improving spectator visibility in the stands.
(2). Over 40% Energy Reduction with Stable Output: By replacing high-wattage metal-halide lamps with 200–600W SL05 LED fixtures, the football field achieved more than 40% energy savings per match cycle.
(3). Better broadcast quality: The SL05 offers high CRI and TLCI values, ensuring natural skin tones, clear motion capture, and reduced color distortion for TV broadcasts and livestream platforms. Broadcasters reported noticeably improved replay clarity and better visibility in high-speed action scenes.
(4). Smart, efficient dimming: Integrated DALI-2.0 dimming and scene control allow the venue to instantly switch between training, match, maintenance, and event lighting modes.
(5). Lower maintenance costs: The SL05’s modular LED engine and driver system reduced maintenance from multiple times per season to planned annual inspections only.
(6). Weather resistance & reliability: Built with corrosion-resistant housing and high-strength optics, the SL05 continued to perform reliably under rain, humidity, high winds, and occasional coastal salt exposure.
